Medical Physicians and Nurses Deal Directly with LIfe and Death.
kudos to them.

Most General Dentists don't deal with life and death so directly but personally,
I believe in providing QUALITY OF LIFE to my patients in the future.(I'll start seeing patients next year anyway.)

We use our teeth, mouth for eating, talking, singing, etc.
Losing teeth, having pain in the mouth/teeth can be so traumatic.
We tend to take our teeth for granted when we eat our favourite food.
Ask the ah ma who lost all their teeth and not able to chew and savour the food
they once enjoyed.
In fact even loss of a single tooth can cause so much inconvenience.
The chronic pain caused by oral-related problems can be seconded only to labour pain and kidney stones pain.

Moreover, the loss of a front teeth, receding gums, badly stained teeth,
badly aligned teeth, all can make someone lose their confidence.

I yearn to improve my patients the quality of life
and nothing is more satisfying than the "Thank You" from
a patient who after the treatment, looked in the mirror and
Gives a wonderful beautiful SMILE.
